What is Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana?

The scheme will provide training to unemployed youth of the country in about 40 technical fields such as construction, electronics and hardware, food processing, furniture and fittings, handicrafts, james and jewellery and leather technology. The youth of the country are willing to appear in this course as per their wish. Training centres have been opened by the Government of India in every State and city of the country under pradhan mantri kaushal vikas yojana. The training centres through which free training facility will be provided to the beneficiaries. Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2020, entrepreneurship education and training programmes for the next 5 years are provided by the Central Government for the youth.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 will be launched in Chandigarh district. This has been reported by District Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Guptaji. District Skill Committee and that Committee have been constituted for successful implementation of the scheme. Under the scheme, skill development of youth will be done keeping in view the market demand. The gap between demand and supply of manpower will be bridged through this scheme. On-the-site training will be provided through Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. And, after that training, the beneficiaries will be provided employment opportunities in the respective sector.

The scheme has shown interest by 8 local industries.

  • The local industries are Winsum Group Pvt Ltd, Sharp Engineering Pvt Ltd, Usha Yarn Limited, Vatika Spinning Mills, Sambai Industries, RB forging, CAG Engineering Limited and Sarovar Enterprises.
  • Under pradhan mantri kaushal vikas yojana, awareness related to the scheme will be spread across the district.
  • After skill development, the candidates will be done from the village and batches will be formed for training of candidates.
  • Placements will also be provided to the candidates after completion of counselling.
  • At the same time, the accompanying hair policy will be done through related training assistance.
